She advised numerous high-tech companies of all shapes and sizes, from startups to top ten Fortune 500 companies, and from nonprofits to companies in the IPO process, all with vastly different policies and approaches to immigration support for employees. Amber has taken her expertise and redirected it to focus on advising individual employees who are working in the U.S. on visas. Drawing from her expertise, she now delivers individualized immigration solutions, specifically for employees and their families. Parva Fattahi is a Partner at Waypoint Immigration, where she focuses her practice on EB-1A extraordinary ability, National Interest Waiver (NIW), and O-1 petitions, while also representing clients in select family-based immigration matters. She works with entrepreneurs, employees, and their families navigating a wide range of immigration pathways before U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and U.S. consulates. Parva’s connection to this work is personal. She came to the United States as a refugee, learned English through ESL classes, and within ten years of her arrival was a licensed attorney. That experience shapes how she practices law: she knows firsthand what it means to start over in a new country, and she brings both patience and precision to clients facing that same uncertainty. With over a decade of experience in U.S. immigration law, Parva approaches every matter as an advocate and a strategist, carefully analyzing each client’s background to identify opportunities, overcome obstacles, and build the strongest possible path forward. In addition to her work in extraordinary ability and national interest cases, Parva brings broad experience across the full spectrum of U.S. immigration categories, including L, H-1B, H-1B1, H-3, E-2, E-3, TN, J, F, R visas, PERM labor certification, adjustment of status, consular processing, waivers, and both employment-based and family-based immigration matters. She has developed a particular understanding of the employee-side immigration experience, recognizing that in many visa categories, attorneys traditionally represent employers, while employees and entrepreneurs often have limited independent guidance. She has also served as an Adjunct Professor in Montgomery College’s Paralegal Studies Program, teaching Immigration Law. Parva earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws (LL.M.) from American University Washington College of Law and her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is admitted to practice law in Maryland and the District of Columbia, is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), and is fluent in Farsi (Persian). Outside the office, Parva can usually be found working through a good puzzle, watching a murder mystery series, at a Pilates class, cooking or baking, traveling, or spending time with family.
